Today we have the pleasure of telling you about the work we did on a beautiful house located between the green Sicilian mountains and the blue Ionian Sea. It was an important project because the client entrusted us with the furnishing of all the spaces: from the large openspace to the sleeping area.
With our interior design work we wanted to enhance the spaces with a contemporary touch, but aiming to create a style that will never go out of fashion.
The undisputed star of the living area is the Budapest Soft sofa by Baxter. A masterpiece of design made entirely by hand from the finest Italian leathers, the Budapest Soft sofa is the perfect solution to treat yourself to moments of pure relaxation. Splendid in this variant in Kashmir Fumée, it manages to create a perfect balance with the intense luminosity that envelops the surrounding space.
Opposite is the refined wall with Giacobazzi wood panelling that frames the TV, creating an evocative play of contrasts in relief. A storage unit, with a linear and essential design by Alf da Frè, discreetly completes the furnishings.
An aquarium optically introduces us into the kitchen area. Here everything has been custom-designed to make the most of every centimetre and create an environment to be lived in all day, not just during meals. We have chosen an Ak_Project kitchen by Arrital with a matt lacquer finish.
The Gem cabinet enhances the elegance of the composition, embellishing the aesthetics with glass in a smoked finish and LEDs that illuminate the interior details. The comfortable peninsula is perfect not only for eating but has all the features to be experienced as a conversation area too, also thanks to the welcoming Lea stools by Midj. The end result is a refined environment where everything has its function.
To create a dining area with a strong scenic presence but at the same time free of excess, the choice was Cattelan Italia. Together with the client, we chose two of the Italian company's undisputed best sellers: the Skorpio table with crystal top and Brushed bronze foot and the Magda chairs in Lino faux leather. A perfect pair to add a touch of style to the entire open space.
A marble-effect stoneware staircase leads to the upper floor, where the sleeping area is located, preceded by a reading area, starring the Milano armchair by Baxter. Its soft seat and back cushions are reminiscent of the 1970s and are plump as clouds on which it is a pleasure to lie.
The master bedroom welcomes the Blanca bed by Twils, which gives attention to volumes, with comfortable proportions balanced by two large and light cushions. The choice of fabric, in an intense shade of blue, is reminiscent of the colour of the depths of the sea, which matches perfectly in concordance and contrast with the midnight blue and jute finishes of the Da-Do System bedside tables by Alf da Frè. Also from the Da-Do System line is the dresser, which visually separates the access to the en-suite bathroom and walk-in wardrobe.
The end result is a home with a young and dynamic look but with a romantic and refined soul, all to be experienced.
